The Christmas Box Angel was introduced to the world in the book "The Christmas Box" by author Richard Paul Evans. In the book a woman mourns the loss of her child. Though the story is mostly fiction, the angel monument once existed. The first monument was dedicated on December 6, 1994. As of December 6, 2009 there are 100 angels in the United States and Canada where parents, friends and family members are drawn to connect with each other, remember and reflect.
