We designed and created Stampomatica, a desktop mini press that works with 3D printed plates. You can create homemade letterpress prints from any design. Stampomatica is an opensource project.
The two models of mini press, presented at Maker Faire in Rome, won the Jury Prize, we led a workshop during Etsy Craft Camp in Milan and participated to The Others exposition in Turin during Artissima art faire.
The idea met great enthusiasm so far and now we’d like to make it available to fans, letterpress workshops teachers, shop owners, educators and makers willing to innovate their production. We need twelve thousand dollars to produce and distribute the first hundred.
The first one will ship to Wales to a teacher who plans to use it during her class, fostering the typographic culture among her students.
