The story of my graduation film is about a pair of siblings, whose parents were a woodcutter and a fairy with wings. While the elder sister remained normal, the younger brother inherited their mother’s wings. Unlike their father, who chopped off his wife’s wings to keep her from leaving, the girl made a different choice by letting her brother go.
In reality, idealists can be cruel, in the sense that, while focusing on their own cause, they may inadvertently neglect or even hurt those who care about them. There are many different ways to express one’s love. We, as friends or families, may sometimes experience this kind of emotional ambivalence, whereby we are torn between the sincere hope for those we love to pursue their dreams freely, and the deep unwillingness to be separated from them. Sometimes it is actually a blessing to learn to let go.
