Americans are stretching their dollars as retailers extend their "Black Friday" hours for more sales during the shopping spree.
Black Friday is the biggest day on America’s festive shopping calendar. Huge discounts on merchandise are expected to get shoppers in the mood to spend. Eager consumers got a jump on the pre-Christmas shopping season, which has six fewer days than last year. Thousands of Americans came streaming through the doors of shopping malls across the country, rushing in to be the first. Of course, some would say that Black Friday is simply a marketing ploy to make people part with their cash. But if you’re sensible and stick to your shopping list, then there’s no better time to snap up some bargains.
