On November 21, 2013, alumnus, benefactor and venture capitalist Neal Dempsey – the Foster School's visiting 2013-2014 Edward V. Fritzky Chair in Leadership – brought three Silicon Valley CEOs to Dempsey Hall to talk about how a company changes in the midst of adversity and challenges. They expounded on their hands-on experiences with pivoting when it was time to redefine and reconfigure. Prof. Charles Hill, one of the Foster School's accomplished faculty members, moderated the panel discussion and posed questions to the CEOs about the expected and unexpected issues they faced in launching and re-launching their companies as they grow toward IPOs.
