The Children's Holiday (2023)

Stephen Eric Berry

This film explores THE CHILDREN'S HOLIDAY, a quill and ink drawing created by Detroit-area artist John Elkerr. Mixing details from the piece with a retrospective of Elkerr's work and photographs from a wide array of artists worldwide, this film tells the dark fable of Angusina Bitter, a mythical recluse and misanthrope who lives deep in the Kobernausser Forest. Headphones recommended.

Warning: This film is intended for mature audiences only. It contains nudity, sexual themes, implied violence and omophagia, illicit drug use, strong language, and ideologically sensitive content. If you are likely to be disturbed by viewing media with these elements, the filmmaker would encourage you not to watch this presentation.
