This video shows our annual family Thanksgiving get-together at Auntie Sharon's house in Stockton, CA.
The video first starts off showing our road trip up to Stockton, CA. We experienced some heavy Thanksgiving traffic while along the way. While along the way, however, while still descending on Altamont Pass, I so happen to capture a person that had a close call right to the left of us! He/she had skid a bit since he/she had to do a sudden stop. The road was going downhill as well and it somehow the traffic got heavier right after going down the steep grade. Listen carefully to that part...you can hear the tires skid or so (0:41 in the video)! Despite the craziness things on the road, we made it to Stockton, CA soon before sunset safely. Some of us went to Lodi, CA to see and visit Lolo's resting place at the Cherokee Memorial Park.
After pretty much everyone was at the house, we began our Thanksgiving program. During the program, we learned the true meaning behind Thanksgiving Day. We also sang a few songs about Thanksgiving. Then my mom did a small and short sermon of Thanksgiving. Some of us also spoke out of what we were thankful for. Afterwards, we gathered in a big circle and prayed...Uncle Roger led the prayer. At the same time, we also prayed for the food. Then we dug in and feasted!
For the remainder of the night, we just continue eating, played games upstairs with the youngsters/cousins, and just hanged out. The adults were watching the Pacquiáo fight downstairs.
In summary, we had a great time fellowshipping with one another. We also played games, ate great food, and simply enjoyed this holiday together. So, what are you guys thankful for? Hope you guys enjoyed this special day!
