Did you hear what Mrs Santa Claus said to Mr Santa Claus?
No, she didn't look into the sky with her best meteorological face and say 'Rein Deer'.
No, she actually looked over to Manchester and said 'SNAP!' as hundreds of Santa-Look-a-Likes from all over Didsbury and beyond took to the paths of Fog Lane Park.
The collection of these hundreds of Santa's (and by the way, what is the collective noun for a group of Santa's? Is it a 'Present' or a 'Sleigh' of Santa's') were drawn to this part of the World away from their normal habitat at the 'Pole' (Failsworth pole, more likely than the North Pole we think) to do good deeds for the British Red Cross.
They ran, walked, toddled, crawled, even buggied for two laps of Fog Lane Park to raise funds for thsoe less fortunate than us - and Manchester TV were there to see who was good, and who was bad, coming up for Christmas Day!
Fundraisers were rewarded with a medal for finishing the race and some youngsters at the event even got an early present from the real Santa.
Thousands were raised and a cracking day was had by all. This second Santa Dash measn we now have yet another annual event on the Manchester Calendar!
