During the Le Guess Who? 2013 festival in Utrecht, pop journalist Gijsbert Kamer (De Volkskrant) hosted interviews and sessions in EKKO with a variety of artists in EKKO.
Gijsbert Kamer talks to Lonnie Holley, who devoted his life to improvisational creativity, including drawing, painting, photography and performance art. While his visual works have gained him nationwide exhibitions, he has quietly released music albums over the past decades as well. His music isn’t easily categorized but consists of improvised synth music and lyrics that come straight from his heart and soul, and which may change in something completely different every time he plays.
