This excerpt is an exercise in creating a piece of choreography to develop a mentality in which to interpret architecture in a new light by codifying rhythms and patterns in the orthographic into new spatial eventualities.
It is a projection of the exterior elevations and plans of the Casa del Fascio onto the human form transfiguring to an interpretation for the potentials of movement in this space, dealing with the body in space and its mimesis.
It was a presentation of a group of ideas, the execution was rough, impromptu.
The superimposition of an improvisational soundwash gave new meaning to some of the phrasing in the movement. As did the curation of the space and the introduction of an audience, suddenly abstract patterns in the facade described in movement have a relationship to an audience or series of situational coincidences.
