AB+F welcomed George Frazis, Chief Executive Officer, St. George Bank at the AB+F Randstad Leaders Lecture Series 2013 on Thursday, 5th December 2013 in Sydney.
There are a number of ways people might describe the last five years; GFC, challenging, low confidence, global uncertainty. But also of immense importance during this time is the significant shift in how customers are interacting with business. It was also five years ago that St. George merged with Westpac. During this period, St. George continued to invest in its business and employees so it can compete, grow and build customer loyalty in an increasingly digital world. We've learned some lessons along the way around the importance of innovation and what is required so innovation can thrive. George will outline the importance for SMEs to start investing so they can remain competitive and relevant in a digital world.
George was appointed Chief Executive Officer, St. George Banking Group in April 2012. Prior to this appointment, George joined the Westpac Group in March 2009 as Chief Executive, Westpac New Zealand Limited. George is highly experienced in the financial services industry. He was formerly Group Executive General Manager at National Australia Bank. Prior to that, George was a senior executive in Commonwealth Bank of Australia's Institutional Banking Division and has also been a partner with the Boston Consulting Group in both Sydney and London.
