A honeybee visits a David Austin English Rose, "Fighting Temeraire", in my garden.
I suspect Austin named the rose for the glowing rose-gold sunset colors in J.M.W. Turner's painting of the warship, HMS "Fighting Temeraire", painted in 1838.
I selected "The Flight of the Bumblebee" by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov to accompany the piece. The music depicts a scene from Rimsky-Korsakov's opera, "The Tale of Tsar Saltan", where a handsome young price is transformed into a bumblebee.
Performed by the United States Army Band.
