Pandora 88 is extraordinary movement theatre that oscillates between dreamlike tranquillity and explosive physicality. Employing strong emotions, intense images and serious playfulness the piece moves from comedy to tragedy and back, finding, almost by accident, a little detour through outer space.
The stage is a box of 1.5 square metres. This is the playground / the home / the prison / the shelter for the two protagonists. In this space the lives of the actors seem to both begin and end.
It is a space to which they are attached for good or for bad.
The creation of Pandora 88 is based on radical constraint as well as on the common life story and the long lasting friendship of the two dancers.
“One of the most captivating shows in Edinburgh…. an extraordinarily
inventive dance theatre show.” The Guardian
