A short clip showing some redds in the Knockando Burn, and also a hen salmon that has been caught by an otter! You can see the pink eggs amongst the stones on the river bed. Some rather scruffy looking male salmon were also still there. There were three redds in this short stretch whihc was located 50m upstream of the River Spey. There is limited spawning in the Knockando Burn as a distillery intake weir prevents access for migratory fish a few hundred metres upstream of the confluence with the Spey.
