This is the way I learnt to make apple strudel when I was working in Switzerland. The filling for this is really basic but you can add walnut's or almonds into the mixture to mix things up a little. I also use rum in this recipe, this can easily be left out. The great thing about this recipe is the dough, normally puff pastry is used but this recipe uses a dough made of flour and water and the dough is stretched by hand. As mentioned in the clip a stand mixer can be used to make the dough or interchange this dough for puff pastry if you prefer.
