Dr. Max Wilcox, a Veterinarian, spent his entire life around horses. He was shoeing a horse, the horse collapsed and fell on top of him. By that evening, he could only walk for 30 feet. He later discovered that he had a herniated disk. When he started having a family, he asked himself if he could make it for another 20 years. His father-in-law had received treatment from Dr. Ghosh and recommended him to Dr. Wilcox. A comment Dr. Ghosh made during their initial visit stood out in his mind: "You waited the exact right amount of time (15 years) to pursue a remedy." During those 15 years, there had been tremendous advancements in back surgery. After surgery, Dr. Wilcox was walking the next day with the assistance of a physical therapists. After 6 weeks, he was riding a horse (against recommendations) and he was performing his normal duties within 6 months. Dr. Wilcox appreciates Dr. Ghosh for his compassion and his technical expertise.
