A tongue in cheek video for their original rockin' & risque Christmas song, Nashville's The Smoking Flowers have co-directed (with director & film maker Davis Adams) a sexy, colorful and entertaining mini film with a nod to the retro era. Christmas isn't just for kids, folks!
A note from Kim & Scott (The Smoking Flowers):
We always wanted to write an original Christmas song. If you write a good one, which is not an easy task, it's something that can live on for a long time. This song is very "us." It's a duet and covers a lot of territory stylistically...bawdy, early 60's, and even a hint of rockabilly. We ended up writing a fun tune that winks a shrewd eye at the adults, but that kids can also dig on the surface. It's definitely a bit risqué but in a playful way. We even found a way to throw in a couple of nods to some other classic holiday tunes. We had a blast doing the video and playing several different characters...Kim as herself, drummer, house wife, and pin-up girl (yes, in a bow and nothing more); and Scott as himself and a "hipster" Santa.
