Global Medical Brigades works in 19 communities in the Central Region of Ghana. By running a four day medical clinic staffed with health care professionals, a well stocked pharmacy, and passionate volunteers, community members have access to essential health care services.
To maximize impact, the medical team trains community health volunteers to advocate for positive health practices through home visits. In addition, Global Brigades emphasizes the importance of education by providing quarterly workshops on clean water, health and sanitation, stretching and exercising, family planning, and the Ghana National Health Insurance.
