Appleblim aka Laurie Osborne is one of electronic music's true pioneers.
An early staple on the dubstep scene, he's blended his love of techno and house with bass heavy abstract rhythms to create his own sound.
Along with Shackleton, Appleblim broke down plenty of barriers with the Skull Disco label, and continues to push original sounds with his own Applepips label.
On a break from smashing dancefloors while on tour in Australia, Appleblim talks about his beginnings with music, Bristol, his feeling towards dubplates, legendary club FWD, his approach to production and the dubstep/techno crossover sound he's championed.
Cheers to Amul, Spherix, Kamo, Stoney and the VOID crew for making this interview happen.
