A demo of LA Intersections, a wayfinding service that introduces users to art history's physical space. Created as a theoretical "tour" companion app for LACMA shows featuring local Los Angeles artists. When prospective attendees require directions, they are unknowingly directed through places & spaces that featured artists lived and worked, while being told about LA art by outspoken lovers of Los Angeles.
Here is an example of directions to an Ed Ruscha show, routing down the Sunset Strip and through Santa Monica before turning towards LACMA. The entire journey is narrated by David Hockney, who discusses the implications of art in the modern age.
