Kay Lazar is a staff health reporter for the Boston Globe who focuses on aging, sports medicine, and public health. She previously worked as a news writer and producer at ABC and CBS radio networks.
Her work spans a wide range of topics including drug overuse among dementia patients, health care costs for consumers, family management of Alzheimer’s, Medicaid contracts, and public policy regarding the medical use of marijuana. In 2011, Ms. Lazar won first place in beat reporting from the Association of Health Care Journalists for her coverage of health policy and aging.
