Part 3: Valves and the MAZE Procedure
Description: The surgeons at the University of Michigan Frankel Cardiovascular Center are capable of performing surgical procedures to repair or replace all the valves of the heart. Atrial fibrillation patients can also be treated with the MAZE procedure to recourse the electrical activity in the heart responsible for AFib. This lecture covers the surgical procedures, but also focuses on post-operative care of these patients.
