As part of Prof. Francis Harvey's Digital Planet I (Fall 2009) course at the University of Minnesota's Department of Geography, students learned functions of the Garmin Oregon 550 and described them on camera. This is a great how to for anyone how wants to learn how to use the GPS unit, or just check out the device while listening to good electronic music by Nobot, Donebestdone, and Kyle Vande Slunt. Learn about the track manager, waypoints and photo tagging, sight and go, geocaching function, compass, hunt and fish, sun and moon, and the basics.
*Some of the film is a bit blurry because of the little camera being used, but the information is still helpful!
