This was movie was an assignment for my film production class in which we had to create portrait of a person or place. Jumpin' Java is a local coffee shop here where i live and everyone sees it as this hip, fun place to hang out, so i decided to put a different spin on it. I happen to work there, and so my perspective is more of a depressing one, as is portrayed in the film.

This is my first attempt at movie-making and was shot with a little JVC camera i borrowed from my friend. I played with the contrast and added some grungy-ness to try and cover up the poor quality of the film, haha.

Anyway, hope you like it. It is very Requiem for a Dream inspired (fast paced shots and soundtrack).

Enjoy!
