For the celebration of Christmas, light is the essential ingredient. Originating from the biblical event of Genesis, it is marked as the first work of the creator. Ever since then, light stands for good and warmth.
Light means: life.
For the public TV channel Das Erste, we produced 3 holiday and 1 New Year main ident, many short idents and break-bumpers, using this traditional substance as a central symbol of our creative approach.
We transformed the philosophical meaning of light into heartwarming poetry, by turning the traditional symbol into something more contemporary and refreshing.
The world is enlightened in the dark winter season. The three idents, „Lake“, „Bicycle“ and „Tree“, explore the adorable time around Christmas, revealing little stories about travel, discovery and happiness, sending only the best wishes out to the world.
