Max Blagg has lived in New York City since 1972. He is the author of four collections of poetry, and several collaborations with artists, including Jack Pierson, Richard Prince and Keith Sonnier. He is a contributing editor to numerous high-end and low-down magazines, and also a member of the faculty at the School of Visual Art’s photography department. He recently published a semi-faux memoir, Ticket Out, [Shallow Books, NYC, 2012] and a new collection of poems, Slow Dazzle, is forthcoming.
With the theme of “Living Creatively on the East End,” 10 members of the community are invited to present 20 slides at 20 seconds each, yielding six minutes and 40 seconds per presenter. This is a great opportunity to establish new relationships, learn about local resources, and hear from the many artists, writers, musicians, gardeners, farmers, baymen, winemakers, chefs, designers, architects, and other creative professionals who comprise our region.
