Join Dr. Nancy Mangieri and Professor Anthony Mangeri for a presentation on H1N1 sponsored by American Public University.
The CDC estimates more than 22 million Americans have been infected with H1N1 and 3,900 have died1. While the U.S. government has ordered 250 million doses of vaccine, companies have only been able to manufacture some 70 million doses. The possibility of an even stronger wave or a mutation has experts concerned. In this discussion, we will review the country's response to the initial outbreak, its progression to pandemic, andthen consider possible future scenarios and methods for creating an appropriate preparedness plan (and how the existing plan can be modified given the outlook and lessons learned to date).
