The third J in the 50 LETTERS project. The J series (subtitled "The Book of J") retells the biblical story of Judith, a story peppered with violence and sexual tension. Images from some of the most graphically violent paintings in Western Art History are used throughout the J series, as well as sections of D W Griffith's 1913 movie version. The story is told by actress Nicole Farmer, who re-enacts all the parts. The accompanying music, the second and third movements of Beethoven's "Kreutzer" Sonata is performed by Peter Winograd (violin) and Marian Hahn (piano).
