The starting point for my film was a scene that I filmed in Bangkok, in which ants were running hectically around a shiny piece of (probably) sugar. I decided to create an animation around this scene in which the piece of sugar would be set on fire by the ants' ritual. I then put this in the context of a rising sun with the first two scenes, in which I also showed the earth's night side as a dawning sun implying the lights of the cities to constitute an act of sun worship. The title was chosen to be Khepri, the egyptian god of the rising sun.
