A documentary by Jamie Oliveira, dedicated to my grandfather.
"Goat's Milk" is a portrait of the late Anthony Lewis Azevedo and his widower Teruko that explores the lingering void and simultaneous sense of presence that occurs when those closest to us pass away. The film is told from the reflections and experiences of the deceased (taken from an interview conducted during Anthony's battle with terminal cancer in 2012) accompanied by the physical movements and manifestations of his widower in the present.
Filmed using Tri-X black & white super 8 reversal film on the Canon 814. Hand processed. Telecine by Movette. Made in Greta Snider's Experimental Documentary class at San Francisco State University.
