A short clip featuring the talented aerial acrobat Seba in Berliner Viktoriapark in slow motion.
Again with Seba a talented acrobat and juggler. We went to Viktoria Park in Berlin Kreuzberg to find a tree where he could hang himself..
We were planning on shooting his 3 minutes routine. I shoot a lot in normal speed (25p) but i wanted to test the workflow for shooting faster (not high) speed slow motion so in the end i shot many 8sec bits out of his number. The 8seconds... really drove us mad. Especially Seba hanging upside down in a tree hearing me shouting "Ok stay exactly like this... just one and a half minutes until the camera works again..." At noon we had shot some nice moves but many times i just missed his actions. I wish i would have had the Sony extension or Q7 to record continues high speed 240 frames in 1080p but i didnt..
His shirt was orange which helped me a lot at the decision to turn it to black and white. I really like it black and white with some extra grain. All post is done in EDIUS. Two days before i shot another clip with Seba on our neighbours rooftop. Him juggling in front of the nice Berliner sky. That clip has a completly different color grade and is faster edited. The wonderful music is by sax player and composer Jan Garbarek.
