I've been lucky enough to live near Chicago my whole life and after moving to the city last year, I picked up time-lapse photography as a hobby. That hobby led to 'Chicago: Second to None,' a personal time-lapse piece that took about 6 months of scouting locations, shooting sequences, and editing over 16,000 individual raw photographs into this final video.
This was such a fun adventure for me, so I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it!
Big thanks to The Langham Chicago for sharing their wonderful views with me.
The gear I used include Canon 60D and T3i camera bodies, along with Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6, Sigma 17-70 OS f/2.8-4, Canon 24-105mm f/4 IS L, and Canon 70-200mm f/4 L lenses. All shots were taken on a Manfrotto 293 tripod, and images taken through glass were shot with the Lens Skirt.
