Habib 'Paps' Ullah died during a stop & search in a car park in High Wycombe in July 2008. Every year we mark his birthday in December and the anniversary of his death in July by holding a vigil outside the police station in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. We are often joined by other families and individuals who have lost their loved ones and are fighting the police
The family continue to fight for answers and justice, five & a half years after his death and a failed inquest
where police officers confessed that they had changed their statements on the advice of seniors officers, solicitors and Police Federation representatives.
Every year dozens of people die in custody or after contact with the police, in immigration
detention centres and in Prisons & YOI's. Locally in Thames Valley we have had 3 deaths
in a four year period of Asian & African-Caribbean men and many other incidents. We are now demanding a public inquiry into policing in High Wycombe and justice for those who have experienced police negligence,
harassment and incompetence.
