The Delfina restaurant group in San Francisco is celebrating their 15th anniversary. To commemorate the occasion their communications director, Ashley Bellview, hired my friend Mark Spencer and me to create a "day in the life" look at the energy it takes to create their famously delicious food every evening at their restaurant on 18th Street. They don't serve lunch there, but they start on prep at 4:00am and a full team of over a dozen people crank until service begins at 5:30pm. With a combination of timelapse and realtime cinematography, along with Mark's fabulous direction and editing, we've captured a little glimpse of what their (incredibly long) typical day is like.
