Coda Definition: A concluding passage or section, falling outside the basic structure if a composition, and added in order to obtain or to heighten the impression of finality. In the fully developed examples the coda often attains considerable proportions and importance, representing the final climax. In slow movements it often has the character of a pensive epilogue.
