In a rare surprise appearance, cancer warrior Fred Ho took the stage at the Sweet Science Suite Concert and ripped a huge saxophone solo! Although I was seated in the back row and had no permission to film, I had to take out the camera and take some video when I saw Fred make his entrance. I shot this from perhaps 300 feet away, handheld, and holding the camera over my head. Fred's commanding tones glide over both chromatic and dissonant scales, and then he pierces the limits of the baritone sax with a few impossible high notes, to the delight of the audience. He then declines to end his solo on the tonic (as if not quite finished) as the band takes over, and he walks off the stage for the last time in 2013.
