This time-lapse short was made over the course of 32 days and follows the upcoming artist Leah Yerpe while she creates one of her incredible life-sized drawings. My Nikon D700 was set on a tripod with an interval timer, set to go off every 15 minutes. This film is comprised of 702 photographs – multiplied by 15 – is over 175 hours drawing time (!!!), and this does not include any of conceptual work / sketching / reference photography.
Leah has a solo exhibition @ Dillon Gallery in NYC (January 9 - February 11, 2014) where you can check out this piece and many other works.
