On the occasion of CalArts 50th Anniversary, The Decision Party was presented as two 4-hr long performances. It is based on a poem and is a piece that embodies the idea that improvisation is a series of highly attuned decisions. Within the form of a multimedia immersive installation, an ever-evolving landscape created by improvisational performers (sound, image, dance) with staggered overlapping shifts unfolds.
These excerpt are from the 2nd half of the Saturday, April 29 performance with:
Kate Morales & Stephanie Zalatel, dance
Valerie Daval, live drawing
