I have friends who raise Llamas and are into the world of Fiber. That was about all that I knew of the world of fiber. So when I was asked to attend The Hoosier Hills Fiber Festival last June of 2013 being held at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Franklin, Indiana, I was a bit hesitant and had no idea just what I was about to encounter. Since I was recording stills and videos of the event, and was a one-man army, I was even a bit more uneasy. So I packed up my normal gear; a Canon T4i with 18-135 STM lens. a Bogen Monopod, a couple of SD cards and an a third battery for the camera. I also had my flash but really did not want to use it and brought no video lighting at all.
This is a a video done in a documentary style and is a collection of stills and video shorts. I hope that you enjoy this journey into the "World of Fiber and Fiber Art. With its varied types of fibers, spinning wheels, yarns, art, and also the many unexpected encounters with the wonderful people who really enjoy this beautiful world of color, texture and discovery.
