"Product of Environment" is the culmination of some of my thoughts regarding personal space, the way we choose to inhabit our spaces, and the spaces reaction to us. I feel that we tend to live in our own heads so to speak, constantly taking in details of the world around us, and interpreting them differently from anyone else. The environment is constant, but what each individual takes away from it can be very different. It was my goal to create a space within a space, that facilitated the idea of interpreting the world differently from inside your own head.
The translucent paper covered dome suspended above the viewers head allowed a projection of two "imagined" spaces to flood the viewer's field of vision, without preventing them from interacting with and slightly seeing the "real" environment that we all share. It was my goal to only have one person at a time underneath the dome, to help arise the feeling of privacy and self-reflection.
