This is a tiny extract from Planet Fungi's new documentary FOLLOW THE RAIN. It introduces Stephen and Catherine's local critically endangered subtropical lowland rainforest, where you will find this fungi hunting duo most days during the wet season.
This extract is from the fine cut edit - so the music, colour grade and sound mix are only rough.
This week the Big Scrub Foundation and the Big Scrub Rainforest Conservancy both made a significant donation to our fundraising campaign which will help support the costs of final post-production - the big ticket items of music composition and production, colour grade, sound mix and graphics.
Stephen and Catherine are incredibly grateful to these organisations who truly are the voice of the forests. And we thank all those who have contributed as every $ - large amounts or small - make a difference.
253 donors have now helped to raise over $30,000. This means we have enough funds to pay for the music composition and production, colour grade and a little bit of the sound mix.
We still have to cover the rest of the sound mix, graphics and our impact campaign after the documentary is finished.
Our impact goal is to raise funds for research, taxonomy, conservation and protection of fungi.
"If we can conserve the biodiversity of fungi, we could conserve all the ecosystems critical to life on earth", Stephen Axford.
If you or anyone you know would like to be part of this journey we would be grateful if you could donate and share our funding assets.
