CORNERSTONE – Part 1
Ephesians 1:18-23, Chapter 2 and 5:25-32; Hebrews 3; Acts 1-2; Acts 20:28; Romans 12:3-5; 1 Corinthians 10:31-33 and 12:12-26; Colossians 1 and 3; 1 Peter 2:9-10
What is the Church? Why do we come together as a body? What is the purpose of the Church? These foundational questions will be explored in this series entitled, “Cornerstone.” Ephesians 2:19-20 (ESV)
“So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone,”
If we are to understand the “household of God,” we should first look to the Jesus Christ who is the Foundation, the Head, the Chief Apostle, The Husband, the Ransom and the High priest of this body. We have a perfect example in Him.
My hope is that we come to understand what God intends for the Church to do and be.
