This was shot a couple of nights ago - near one of my favorite local Indian restaurants.
There are at least seven curry joints within 5 minutes walk of this place, so their predicament is understandable.
The treatment in this video is kind of lighthearted, but nonetheless, something about a struggling restaurant really bums me out. Especially an Indian one!
Anyway, this is the third installment in the Daily Film Project. 85 and 50m lenses used throughout, with a slight emphasis on the former.
No grading whatsoever, which is due to my need for sleep. It's a bit of a shame because I shot in a very neutral picture profile to allow latitude for grading later on.
Rendered in native 30p (unless Vimeo conversion changes frame rate).
The Daily Film Project is proving to be a very demanding ride. But based on the footage in the can right now, the next couple of days should yield some pretty interesting pieces.
New film up, of course, this time tomorrow.
