As part of a workshop, we experienced Makey Makey, a controller first designed for video games. Our intention was to reinterpret digitally the chair behaviours. We designed a connected chair to control the Skype ™ software. We introduce a playful gesture that contrasts with the work context. The body activates the chair which will activate the card, transposing the movement to digital data. The device is based on two tools, the arduino MaKey MaKey card, to connect the mechanical actions of the chair to the computer, and Controller Mate, a software which automates and enables action sequences on the computer.
