The Laboratory Response Network for Chemical Threats (LRN-C) is a national network of local and state public health laboratories working in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to respond to chemical terrorism and other public health emergencies. State and local LRN-C laboratories test patient samples for chemical exposures and serve as the frontline conduit for communication among CDC and local health officials, hospitals, law enforcement (FBI) and poison control centers. In this video, learn about the cooperative relationship between hospitals and LRN-C laboratories, how your facility can facilitate a swift response to a chemical threat, and how your hospital can partner with your LRN-C laboratory to prepare before an emergency occurs in your jurisdiction.
