Debris Flows (premiere) 2010 Zaccho Dance Theater, SF, CA
A 9 minute excerpt from Debris/Flows, an evening-length performance and craft installation about landscape and the culture of nature. Santa Ana winds, followed by wildfires and torrential rains, cause massive slides of mud, boulders and trees to tear down the San Gabriel Mountains, right through people’s homes. The City and County of Los Angeles catches this debris in basins and then trucks it back up to the top of the mountains, until the next season of mudslides begins…..
