First Apostolic Epistle of St. Peter Pt3 will wrap of this first epistle of Peter. Here we enter into the Sufferings of Christ, according to the Will of God. It is here that those who have come out of the world, do not run in the same excess of riot they did before. They are different and know that judgment will begin at the House of God.
Here we find that indeed the world has sinners and the ungodly, for whom Christ died for. But many reject the Gospel, and yet; those who do repent and follow the Lord find the battle before them. Peter in this epistle readies the saints for the inevitable persecution and suffering in the flesh which was to come. Here we find the hope, power, and glory of Christ in the believer as the saint of God moves forward by faith.
1Pe 4:17 KJV
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
1Pe 4:18 KJV
And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
1Pe 4:19 KJV
Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
