Creativity and Innovation matter in today's global economy. Yet innate creativity is being lost as students drop out of school and lose opportunity to engage what they are learning in meaningful and imaginative ways. To educate for resiliency, adaptability and creativity, teacher education needs design pedagogy, new assessment methods and diverse approaches to modernize curriculum in the K12 classroom. Design As Nature Workshops support teachers as designers with hands on activities, 21st century STEAM skills and eLearning networks that connect remote classrooms with the world of ideas, experimentation and innovation. Two architects and professors of architecture and environmental design collaborate with college students and K12 teachers to nurture imagination and support wonder of and engagement with the built and natural worlds.
