Attempt 2. I had a little more time this round but this was still basically assembled in just two weeks and did require some scaling back after my original comp-ing.
This was for a school assignment. We had to create a short "commercial" for a product using After Effects and Premiere Pro (or Final Cut, if you're into that kind of thing). I decided to make my product company a fictional future energy weapons manufacturer, "Synthetique Industries" (an obvious nod to my own company name and a potential production company name later down the line?) . I decided that I really wanted to learn how to do 3D modeling, so I taught myself Cinema 4D, which is where a lot of the rendering and animation occurred.
It's not bad for someone who only had two weeks to learn 3D modeling from scratch, in my opinion, but it definitely needs a LOT of work. In some cases, I had a better version of the animation/render in mind but simply didn't have the time. I only have the one computer that can really handle the renders and it's also my "do-everything-else" machine so when I had gotten some scenes to the point where four seconds of animation was going to take upwards of 50+ hours, I had to scale back. The next one will be better, I promise! :D

The majority of this video was created in Cinema4D Studio R15, with some particle effects, colour effects and footage integration done in After Effects CC, and whole thing was assembled in Premiere Pro CC. Camera used for the (incredibly crappy, poorly acted) live footage was a Panasonic Lumix G5 using a Olympus Zuiko 45mm f/1.8 lens.
This video is a non-commercial piece of media. No money exchanged hands and is not being used to promote or inform on a real product. It is a student film only.
