This is one of Greenwood Management's forestry projects situated in the state of Bahia, Brazil.
This aerial footage shows both the front and rear parts of the property, with the majority of the property established with eucalyptus and acacia forestry crops. Fazenda Santa Maria, among other forestry project sites, is owned and operated by Greenwood Management and are currently undergoing independent valuation of each property.
With roughly 5,000 hectares of forestry plantation under management, Greenwood Management has established itself as one of the largest forest operators in the region. The company is in the process of further expanding the company's forestry investment projects by acquiring a further 3,000 hectares of barren land for the establishment of farm forestry crops.
Currently Greenwood Management have some of the best forest plantations established in the region due to continued research and development with the help of strategic partnerships with European and Brazilian Universities and specialist plantation forestry companies. The company's first commercial thinning is this year (2014) and it is expected that Greenwood will continue to develop its activities further as the forestry projects progress.
Greenwood Management also operate sizable plantation forestry projects in Canada. These sites in Canada focus on the production and sale of Christmas trees in the region. According to independent reports Greenwood Management will account for approximately 10% of the New Brunswick Canadian Christmas tree production, and by the year 2018 Greenwood Management should be responsible for around 6% of the region's Christmas tree sales.
